I work with my clients to create a unique plan for our work together. I believe that there is no division between our body and our mind (or spirit, or heart) and that bodywork effects the holistic self. Every session takes the interests and desires of each client into consideration and we will work toward your intention…or help you create one. Because needs vary from session to session, I call on my entire background and education to help my clients heal and grow, but they primarily fall into these three categories:

With her exceptional intuition and exquisite sense of touch, Terra is truly gifted. Her integration of energy work, embodiment practices and therapeutic massage has helped me relax and feel safe in my body during some of the most stressful periods of my life. Working with her has literally restored me to sanity – multiple times. I highly, deeply recommend working with her. – Julie
I have over 13 years training and experience in many massage modalities, including Clinical and Deep Tissue Massage, Sports Massage, as well as Muscle Energy and Myofascial Techniques. - Back and neck pain
- Headaches and migraines
- Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS)
- Rotator cuff injuries
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- Sciatica or false sciatica pain
- Temperomandibular Joint (TMJ) disorders
- Plantar fasciitis or foot pain
- Pain associated with postural imbalances
- Post-surgical rehabilitation
- Fibromyalgia (FM) and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
- Cerebral Palsy and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
I also have extensive experience and interest in bringing stretching and pain relief, and especially safe, relaxing touch to elders and people with disabiliies that leave them chair- or bed-bound.
Thai Yoga Massage
Based on yoga and Ayurvedic therapies from over 2,000 years ago, Thai Yoga Massage is said to have been administered to the Buddha and his train. It combines a greater range of touch, stretching and postures to create a flowing sequence to bring changes to the body both profound and subtle.
While I do use some Thai Yoga Massage inspired stretches and postures in my table work, a full Thai Yoga Massage is its own work, and I offer that to clients as its own modality. This work is done on a mat on the floor, and does not require draping. Please come dressed in clothing that will not restrict your movement to prepare for this treatment.
Please be aware that for first time Thai Yoga Massage clients, I will only schedule a 90-minute treatment.
Embodiment Practices & Coaching
An important part of my practice is providing touch and movement to help my clients create a better relationship to their own body. In our modern world, many of us believe in a split between our bodies and our minds. Because we believe it exists, we create it for ourselves. Not only does this keep us from more engagement – and therefore more enjoyment – of the present moment, it generates habits in our body and behaviors that limit our ability to live full lives. This separation between mind and body can come from illness and chronic issues, from trauma, or even simply from working in front of a computer all day. It complicates our growth and healing. Many people feel a distance from their bodies, or even a hatred for their bodies and low self-image, all of which can be improved through embodiment.
Somatics employs body-centered approaches to help people foster holistic health. I am trained in several somatics-based and movement therapy techniques. Integrating those with massage and with my background in psycho-social techniques can help clients deepen the relationship to their body and heal the distance between body and mind.
Safe Touch Therapy for Survivors
Many people, because of a history of abuse and trauma, experience a disconnection from their body as their way of surviving. This can take the form of dissociation or flashbacks and create many blocks to well-being and intimacy. For many survivors, touch therapy or embodiment work can be an important step in their healing path. I work with survivors by providing a safe space to experience touch and embodiment as part of their healing. Anyone seeking safe touch or embodiment work with me will go through a thorough informed consent intake, and in some cases may require a referral from a counselor or therapist. For more information, please contact me.
I offer a sliding scale fee structure, as illustrated in the chart below. I choose to offer a sliding scale because I want this work to be accessible to as many people as possible, and my clients can self-select what rate they are able to afford. My rates are commensurate with my experience and ability, and are competitive for the Albuquerque area.
I also offer massage packages!
|Package of 3 Massages||
|Package of 6 Massages||
All massages in a package deal must be used within one year from the purchase date. Massages are transferrable to others.
Travel Note: I will travel to locations in the Albuquerque metro area. I charge $1 per mile, round trip, with a minimum of $20.
Cancellation Policy: Because our time together is valuable, I ask you to respect the appointment we make. I will make a call, text or e-mail to you to confirm the appointment the day before. If you are unable to make the appointment after that time, or do not show, I will request half of the session cost prior to our scheduling again.
In an effort to make holistic bodywork accessible to all, I will work with low- and fixed-income clients to create a fee structure which works within their budget. This arrangement will be made on an individual basis when accommodations can be made.
